Mori Hamada & Matsumoto held a seminar on the new Financial Instruments and Exchange Law (tentative name) and hosted a reception afterward at the Hotel New Otani, Tokyo. Over 1,000 guests took part in the seminar and reception, including many of our clients. In the seminar, we invited as panelists people from universities and the Financial Services Agency who are at the forefront of the enactment of the new Financial Instruments and Exchange Law, which has just taken effect this June through the amendment and abolishment of over 90 financial laws. We explained to participants the developments leading up to and the details of the amendments, as well as the expected impact of the newly established law on everyday business, from various perspectives. The seminar was well received by our clients, because it provided prompt and substantial information to participants about the new law.
The Mori Hamada & Matsumoto seminars and receptions are an opportunity for us to invite our clients, who constantly support our business, to events where we can swiftly provide them with information necessary and useful to their businesses at the same time as cultivating deeper and closer relationships with them. Mori Hamada & Matsumoto intends to hold such seminars regularly in the future and invites its clients and other interested people to continue to take advantage of these opportunities.
