We are delighted to announce that we have launched a foreign law joint enterprise, as of today, marking a significant milestone in our journey towards international growth and collaboration.

Since our inception in 1949, we have grown from a single office in Tokyo to a multinational firm with offices throughout Asia and North America. As a result, in addition to 588 lawyers admitted in Japan, we have 170 other lawyers admitted in non-Japanese jurisdictions (including those registered as foreign lawyers in Japan). This diversity enriches our practice and enhances our ability to serve clients with varied and complex international needs.

The creation of this foreign law joint enterprise allows lawyers admitted in jurisdictions outside Japan to join our partnership as equal partners. This strategic move is designed to accelerate the development of our international practices and provide robust support for the global business operations of our clients.
